Day 51 through Day 60

Day 51 (Thursday February 19)

Beautiful late afternoon sky. It was a treat after coming out of the lab in the morning. 

Day 52 (Friday February 20)

Day 53 (Saturday February 21)

First time making enchiladas! It took more time than expected but it was well worth it. "Anything worth doing is worth doing well."

Day 54 (Sunday February 22)

Studying for midterms with a top bun. Been growing out my hair for quite some time to be able to do so. I don't think my hair has been this long since 4 years ago.

Day 55 (Monday February 23)

We finally received rain recently. The morning after a long night of rain is always so beautiful. When puddles collected on the ground, I used to imagine they led to an alternate world. 

Day 56 (Tuesday February 24)

 I was first introduced to spoken word through a Ted talk by Sarah Kay. However, I haven't listened to spoken word in person before therefore, I attended my first spoken word event and it was awesome listening to performed poetry. I also bought a tank to support the Black Student Union at school. 

Day 57 (Wednesday February 25)

Cooking at home! ( I unfortunately lost the photo for today. )

Day 58 (Thursday February 26)

So I was told that I look similar to Anna Akana. She's half Japanese and half Filipino. Close enough right?

Day 59 (Friday February 27)

Canyon. Green hills because of rain. 

Going to be a trolley there one day

Day 60 (Saturday February 28)

ICRA social ice skating with these peeps. Group hug on the right started with just two people...then another person joined. Then eventually, a chain reaction occurred. 

Day 41 through Day 50

Day 42 ( Tuesday February 10 )

Brought my dream catcher to hang above my bed. Sweet little gift from Kevin from our Arizona trip.

Day 49 ( Tuesday  February 17 )
Had the chance to see Maz Jobrani in this Great Hall.

Day 50 ( Wednesday February 18 )
The community goal is 1000 paper cranes and I made 6!

Day 31 through Day 40

Day 31 (Saturday January 31) Today I headed over to semi formal with the trio. I had the most fun in the photo booth and the seeing the night time skyline.

Day 32 (Sunday February 1) Katy Perry sung during the halftime show and it was amazing to see her perform "Firework", our source of inspiration for Camp Firework.

Day 33 (Monday February 2) 
Construction has begun and new paths are being built.

I received my organic chemistry midterm back and found out I was docked 12% due to the following error. The average was 32.75% for the first midterm.

Day 34 (Tuesday February 3) I walked to the shuttle stop in the morning and it was extremely foggy. 

During lab we were synthesizing crystals and the color changed from clear to teal to orange, red, brown, yellow, then green. I have included a photo of my green crystal solution taking an ice bath.

Day 35 (Wednesday February 4)

Today is yet another beautiful, beautiful day. The sun is so warm, wonderful and inviting. I just HAD to sit outside during my hour break and soak up the sun. Our apartment received these new towels in honor of Valentine's Day coming up soon! 

Day 36 (Thursday February 5) 
My crystals seem to be glowing and the synthesis was a success!

Today is the first day of Camp Firework #4 andI wore my brown bandana in memory of the first Camp Firework. The day was absolutely beautiful again so I took a trip to the beach with Dani and we made a sandman!

Day 37 (Friday February 6)
Here is a photo that was taken during the set up for Camp Firework. The posters look beautiful and I think the "Courage" banner is my favorite.

Day 38 (Saturday February 7)
Today, my university hosted its' 5th annual Leadership Conference. Afterward, we took students from other universities on a tour of the dorms and the campus. While in someone's dorm, we saw this creative tape art.

Day 39 (Sunday February 8)
After a long weekend, I stayed hydrated with this beautiful mug courtesy of Hee Yeon. I may or may not have caught the travel bug!
